Assembly and renovation of battery packs and electric rear axle

Electric and hybrid vehicles / ERAD

Distrimotor is ready for the transition from thermal vehicles to hybrid and electric vehicles.

For you, we work with the technology leader in battery sorting and the refurbishment of defective batteries. Our suppliers collaborate with car manufacturers, universities and major players in electric vehicle battery technology. They are part of circular economy consortia that drive the development of tomorrow's electric vehicle technology.

How are your rear axles and battery packs treated?

Diagnostic and testing equipment safely sorts and identifies faulty modules and cells. This allows batteries to be quickly repaired and returned to vehicles.

The defective modules are:

  • either refurbished for use in other EV batteries,
  • either sent to our 2nd life partners for use in non-automotive applications,
  • either sent to our recycling partners for raw materials to be recovered and manufactured into new EV batteries.

A head start for your auto parts

Some of our partners started assembling new EV battery packs in 2006, at least 10 years ahead of many other companies in learning how to assemble packs.

Additionally, new EV battery manufacturing and service plants are in the pipeline to enable the construction of more than 20,000 EV batteries per year starting in 2024.

The refurbishment of other EV components has not been forgotten, in particular the electrified rear axle (ERAD: electric rear axle drive) that we already offer.
