Cylinder heads

All exchange cylinder heads undergo the same intensive reconditioning program, including complete disassembly and thorough cleaning.

All cylinder heads are then inspected for cracks and distortion to verify their suitability for remanufacturing.

The cylinder heads are checked and restored in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications; non-compliant parts are replaced with new original ones.

Bolt and stud threads are cleaned and any damaged threads are replaced. Valve guides are measured for wear and resized or replaced if necessary.

All cylinder heads are surfaced to ensure the optimum surface finish specified by the engine or gasket manufacturer.

Valve seats are machined to the correct angle, width and seat depth.

Valves and springs are replaced with new ones if necessary.

The cylinder heads are then assembled with new valve stem seals, the valve seat seals are vacuum checked and the cylinder head undergoes final quality inspection and packaging.
