An ecological commitment

Reconstruction in standard exchange requires precision machining that consumes little energy and allows, by recycling the main elements of the organ, to avoid, as is the case with new products: the supply of raw materials, cast iron, steel, aluminum and therefore the enormous energy consumption for the production of these materials and then their transformation.

These energy savings are de facto part of ecology.

A circular economy

The standard exchange is regulated by law. This is decree no. 78-993 of October 4, 1978, amended by decree no. 80-709 of September 5, 1980: The term "standard exchange" may not be used to designate, for the purpose of sale, an engine, component or subassembly mounted or intended to be mounted on a motor vehicle, to replace a used part that is being taken back, unless the engine, component or subassembly delivered, identical or equivalent, is new or has been reconditioned in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications, either by the manufacturer or in a workshop whose production and control resources allow the original characteristics to be guaranteed.

Decree No. 2016-703 of May 30, 2016 relating to the use of automotive spare parts from the circular economy

Target audiences: professionals selling maintenance or repair services for motor vehicles, approved ELV (end-of-life vehicle) centres, companies in the automotive sector. Subject: automotive spare parts from the circular economy. Entry into force: the decree enters into force on 1 January 2017. Notice: the decree sets out the terms and conditions under which professionals selling maintenance or repair services for vehicles must enable consumers to opt for the use, for certain categories of spare parts, of parts from the circular economy, instead of new parts.
