Manual gearboxes (BMP)

A manual gearbox BMP is a robotized automatic gearbox distributed on Citroën models and manufactured by PSA.

It is equipped with two robots that control the clutch and gear engagement. The gearbox itself decides to engage a gear or change gear depending on the pressure exerted on the brake or accelerator. Driving becomes easier because the driver does not worry about the clutch and gears, but only the brake, accelerator and steering wheel as with a classic automatic gearbox.

Robotic gearboxes

Robotic gearboxes are also very current. It is a type of automatic transmission which, unlike a classic automatic gearbox, is a mechanical gearbox equipped with an electronically controlled clutch.
